i loved it. better than i expected actually. what did yall think??
....and even though the last page very clearly said "the end", im really hoping she surprises us all with another book. or the continued story of bellas daughter and jacob would do.
i have stephanie meyers other book the host, but in the beginning she starts going on about some guy named glowing river or something, and i have just not been able to get into yet. i say that as if a guy named 'glowing river' is just too sci-fi or unrealistic for me.... while for the past month i have suggested to anyone who will listen that they should read this "really good series about vampires". haha.
anyway, i finished this book a few weeks ago:
and it was really interesting. the author believes that we each have a "private logic" we use, and it effects the way we view ourselves, the world around us, why we do things, what choices we make, ect. he says that generally our private logic is formed between the ages of 6 and 7. normally people dont have a lot of memories before the age of 8, so the ones we do have, we probably have them for a specific reason..... the reason being that at the time of that memory our psyche was trying to figure something out, and the you experience you remember answered that question in one way or another. so basically, by looking at those older memories we have, we can figure out why our personal logic is the way it is, and be able to start changing those things that were formed on illogical reasoning.anyway, i really enjoyed it. im not saying its all fact or that it will be life changing if you read it, but the author has a lot of interesting points and views in it. bj even picked it up and read it for a little while. which is a miracle bc he does NOT read for fun. ever.

I have to say that Breaking Dawn was my fav. book out of the series. And the host takes a while to get into but even then, it's not as good as the crazy, weird vampire books (which is usually not my kind of reading). But I really want to read that other book - it sounds really interesting! Anyway, next time your in Utah - give me a call!! I'd love to see you!
Well, BJ probably gets that from his dad, who is not often into recreational reading--sorry:( It sounds like the other book has some really interesting thoughts. The way I have heard that term "personal logic" expressed before is our own personalized paradigm. I think it sounds like the same thing. And we all have our own constant private conversations with ourselves going on in our minds all the time, analysts say as many as 50,000 words a day pass through the average person's mind! Wow, I wish I could remember what I told myself!

LOVED Breaking Dawn, and give the Host a chance. It's awesome. Clint is almost done reading it, and like BJ, he Never reads.
I loved it too & also haven't gotten the motivation to read the host yet either, it just doesn't call to me for some reason :)
hmmm... sounds interesting. Breaking Dawn was amazing I loved it. The Host took me a while to get into but it was actually pretty decent. Marianne really liked it. It wasn't my fav but it gave me something to read.
