i need yalls help! i am trying to pick general paint color for the interior of the house but i cant decide! i was told a study was done over interior paint colors to show which has more appeal to the general public and a tan/taupe came out to be the winner. i have also read that tan make it look smaller inside. and that white is too boring. i know its just a matter of preference ....but any suggestions???? :-)

Like I have any idea BUT what we have heard is to stay very basic. So that when you go to sell (which is always in mind) the buyers can come into your home and say "oh that looks great...I can see that being a study..." instead of that hot pink looks tacky...next home? Our realtor told us that a lot of people have a hard time looking past the paint. We stayed pretty basic, tans but our kitchen is green...I had to have something fun and green is the "in" color. Good luck with painting...it is so tiring!!
I think tans are good, when we were looking for houses it was really hard to see past the multi colored rooms! I think tan looks good with the white trim too, adds some contrast. Then you can do little things here & there...at least thats my opinion, what do I know?
We did the tan with white trim thing. I love it. Call us boring conformist but I don't give a hang! I think it's classy! Where are you going to be for CHristmas and Thanksgiving?

I totally agree with the tans and white trim. If thats to boring... I would add a hint of brown. Since they are all consider neutrals...you shouldn't have a hard time finding a future buyer. I think the tans and browns make a house feel warm and cozy. Good luck!

i'm a little late but seriously who cares about future buyers right now?you're going to be there for a long time probably so paint what you like. change it later if you have to. trav made me to that and i wish i wouldve done what i wanted.
